S&P turns negative on US P&C sector on weakening capitalization

S&P Global Ratings has revised its outlook on the US property and casualty (P&C) down to negative over its expectation that the next 12 months will see weaker credit trends playing out through the sector, with the agency warning of potential negative revisions to insurers’ ratings or outlooks.
