Insurers must step into role as institutional investors to tackle global crises: WEF

The global (re)insurance industry must step up and better utilise its capacity as Europe’s largest institutional investor by ensuring its funds are better allocated, focusing on channels which not only drive economic growth but also help mitigate the most pressing challenges facing global economies, the World Economic Forum (WEF) has said.
