Great American sues Starr over $61mn Kroger shooting verdict

Great American Insurance has sued Starr Surplus Lines Insurance Company, alleging that Starr’s refusal to settle within its policy limits amid warnings about a “runaway jury verdict” meant the American Financial Group subsidiary had to pay a substantial amount of a $61mn award related to a shooting in a grocery parking lot.
