Climate activist groups back New York bill to end fossil fuel underwriting

A coalition of environmental campaign groups have declared their support for a bill proposed in the New York state legislature, which aims to prohibit insurers from withdrawing coverage immediately following a cat event, as well as ceasing underwriting and investment in oil, gas and coal utility projects.
