Australia’s NSW storms declared “significant event” as summer cat losses top A$1.6bn

The Insurance Council of Australia has declared last weekend’s severe storm in New South Wales a “significant event” as it unveiled fresh data which revealed the cost of the country’s summer nat cats has reached close to A$1.6bn ($1.06bn).
