ABI urges government caution over state-backed pandemic solution

The Association of British Insurers (ABI) has warned that a state-backed pandemic (re)insurance scheme should only be considered in a case of “genuine market failure” and called on the government to carefully consider whether public funds could be put to better use elsewhere.
